As both a writer and photographer, I've worked with national and international publications, nonprofits, and local news outlets for more than a decade, covering a wide range of topics including agriculture, conservation, natural disasters, outdoor recreation, supply chains, local economic development, sustainable business, and social finance. Lately, I'm exploring the ways regular people all over the world are affected by and responding to environmental degradation and climate change. A recipient of the 2020 Overseas Press Club Fellowship, a 2021 Wall Street Journal science reporting internship, and a graduate of UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, I am currently based outside Portland, OR. My other obsessions include birding, bicycles, and DIY home renovation.
